Thirty-four years since the Revolution…


At the end of this year – 2023, we will commemorate thirty-four years since the Revolution of December 1989!…
In other words, we are already 34 years after the bloody sacrifice of our young Romanians!
Yes, thirty-three years, a lot, a little, God knows, since some died so that others would (re)resurrect, because they died so that we would be free, because they really believed „that we will die and we will be free!…”
He will say, here I am, in the thirty-third year since our Revolution of December 89!…
Yes, I’ve been through all these years, with good and bad, beautiful and hard!
In other words, December 22, 1989 marked the end of the communist regime in Romania. 34 years have passed since then, during which time it has been constantly questioned whether „Was there or wasn’t” really a revolution in December 1989. The answer is simple and the only one: Yes, in December 1989 there was place The revolution that changed the social system imposed more than five decades ago by the Soviet troops.
On December 22, 1989, the fist or the gag was removed from the mouth of the long-persecuted population, an end was put to some social experiments that marked the whole of Romania, such as, for example: the establishment of the totalitarian regime and the dictatorial policy of the presidential couple, Ceausist, ideological censorship, Marxist and atheist, food and energy rationalization.
Also now the process of industrialization and the centralized and planned economy has stopped. The systematization process of the villages and much more has been completed!…
The systematization project of the center of Bucharest was stopped, a process that produced an irreversible change in the appearance of the city, as well as the loss forever of some historical monuments, such as, perhaps, the Monastic Ensemble – Văcăreşti Monastery and an urban housing model.
In other words, December 22, 1989 meant Romania’s return to the capitalist social system, the attempt at political normality, the restoration of property rights, the creation of political and economic structures designed to ensure the freedom and prosperity of the population, as much as possible successful!…
The system change that took place in Central-Eastern and South-Eastern Europe was rejected by Nicolae Ceaușescu, which is why the December Revolution began with a violent response by the authorities, resulting in arrests, deaths and injuries!…
On a different note, today, 34 years after the December 1989 Revolution, we are trying to remember those events and the reasons that led to them, as well as an examination of the course of the post-December Romanian society.
Because, sometimes or even often, lost in the quiet and peace of freedom, we look at those who died in December 1989 without having the strength to understand their sacrifice. Freedom and well-being have withered in us the flower of courage from 34 years ago.
Becoming, in this way, some poor puppets, we became, practically, the characters of a theater of the absurd, which constitutes the post-Decembrist false democracy.
I mean, although we think we are alive, we are, in fact, dead!…
Well, the dead from December 1989 are, in fact, the living, the saved!…
As a result, in these moments or moments, I alone cannot do anything but bring them: special honor, chosen gratitude, deep gratitude and deep appreciation to them, to all of them!…
As for us, as we noted in the previous lines, God with mercy sometimes, God’s mercy in all, we are, at least, still more or less the same: equally epigones and impostors, equally greedy and rapacious, more correctly said, just as greedy, if not even more addicted, to quick gain and reckless enrichment, just as proud and haughty, selfish and haughty, dusty and precious, as well as very hypocritical or hypocritical!. ..
Therefore, nothing new under the sun, just, „different masks, same piece!…”
I, for one, feel very sorry, that the real, concrete, genuine, true and profound progress is going very slowly, we are evolving very slowly, at a snail’s pace, from all points of view!
Therefore, as things stand, I, personally, ask them, our heroes, martyrs and martyrs, to forgive us, because I do not know to what extent we were or are worthy of (all) this sacrifice of theirs, otherwise fine received by God – the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful!…
Also, reflecting and meditating, now, in this commemorative year, on all that we have acquired as a result of this popular movement/revolt, we will find that we have obtained the freedom that we do not know how to enjoy enough, the chance, the opportunity and the wealth that we do not we can use sufficiently and efficiently the openness and receptivity that we do not know how to take advantage of in a specific, complete and concrete way, and, just like that, on!
In other words, due to our smallness of soul, we limit ourselves to facts, things and small projects, or to plans, either only on paper, or started anyway, but never finished or completed!…
Therefore, beyond all this, there is a need for a deep and (de)modification, deep and radical, which starts from each of us, otherwise the sacrifice of our compatriots in December 89 will remain one without purpose / the goal pursued and the finality desired by all of us, including, or, especially, by them, without reaching the ideal to which (to) aspire in a common soul, that of entering and (co)living, truly, in a world, really and totally new!…
But, in order not to slip or fall into accentuated pessimism or derisive pathos, I tend to believe that I still learned something from all these times, moments and events that have passed and passed in all these thirty years, at least some of the sons of this nation and people!…
At the same time, I want to believe that, beyond all that stated or invoked above, I have also reached a maturity and not just a satiety, that I have acquired/obtained and even cultivated some benchmarks, principles, values and virtues, such as be: of selection, competition, efficiency and exactingness, correctness, honor, honesty, firmness and dignity!…
At least, like that, a little bit of each!
And, despite all that, there is still a lot of room for a lot of good in this country!…
Therefore, may God – the Merciful and the Forgiving – stay with us, be with us, so that we can all rejoice together!
And for them, for our heroes, let us pray, permanently, uninterruptedly and unceasingly, that Dunnezeu forgives them and rests them, with the Righteous and with His Saints!…
May their memory, gratitude, appreciation and commemoration be eternal! Amen!…
